Homework for half term

Swede competition

Create a simple competition for your audience to engage with your film and make it more likely they would go watch it........-how do other films do it?  -competitions -quizzes, entires for best...?, win trips, win tickets to premiere or meet and greet etc.....

a) research how other films do this.........videos or screen grabs  (each person in group can look at 2-3 each)


b) optional - will they have it on the facebook/twitter pages? -screen grab!

Swede Awards Ceremony (with Main Actors)

1 min long
-choose an awards ceremony .....oscars, MTV music video awards , BAFTAs, teen choice etc etc.....

-record a video of the main actors presenting an award -make sure u mention the film (sometimes they do it in a subliminal or funny way)

Swede Magazine Cover (OPTIONAL)

-choose a magazine that you would put your main actors on front cover and have a feature about film later on in magazine  (think of which film is appropriate)

c)  photos of you taking photos  (on the set)  (if you want)



Friends with Benefits example


Swede TV show interview

2 mins max
Choose an appropriate show and person to interview the main stars/director 
     -discuss aspects of making the film 
     -could mention aspects of pre-production, production and all previous marketing strategies you have already done (not same stuff as radio) 
      -depending on show you could talk about something funny/in line with shows themes (like radio)
      -mention when the film comes out at the end to promote!

a) get screen grab of facebook and twitter promotion for this! (The films and tv show's) -


b)  embedded video  (of interview)
OPTIONAL:  you could do more than 1 (2-3 for different shows =  (make sure each interview is suited to the show that you are on!! - example Justin & Mila is very different on daybreak than alan carr)

c) answer:  Explain why you chose the show - how does that connect to your target audience?! (Mention what time it's on TV and relate to audience)



Swede Radio Show Interview

Instructions:
-choose a station and call it ______ swede ...... ex the 'sweded capital breakfast show'
-discuss aspects of making the film
-could mention aspects of pre-production, production and all previous marketing strategies you have already done (same in TV but don't talk about same things) -could do something in line with the show (ex capital - is cheeky / funny games or activities to take part in) -mention when the film comes out at the end to promote!


a)  get screen grab of facebook and twitter promotion for this! (The film and radios too if you want!) 


b) the embedded video  (just on black screen (audio only) with 'Swede Radio Show Interview' +  name of the show


c) Answer:  Explain why you chose that radio station and time - how does that connect to your target audience?! ( where /why would they hear it on the radio and when?)

Next phase after production is........MARKETING!

The next phase is the marketing phase, which is to reach wider audiences to attract them to watch your film, you will design a marketing campaign for your film (pretend as though you made the whole film). 

Films do a variety of things to:
1) create buzz about film
2) make people aware of when it is out / what is about
3) persuade them to go watch the film
4) potentially purchase connected products to film (which in turn, will have profits for the film as companies are linked)
